***BE ADVISED THAT VAMPIRES SHOULD NOT EXCEED 2,000 YEARS. EXCEPTIONS HAVE AND CAN BE MADE, BUT IT MUST BE DISCUSSED WITH THE ADMIN. SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE!
Powers
- Vampires have heightened senses (sight, smell, touch, taste, hearing)
- Vampires have increased strength & speed
- Vampires can be overpowered by a strong enough human (ie. body builder)
- Vampires are self-healing
- Vampires are "born" with an additional, unique power -- which one specifically will be made known to you by the admin that accepts your character
- These powers are triggered by strong emotions: anger, joy, fear
- These powers take several years -- often centuries -- to be able to keep under some sort of control
- Being powerful is exhausting, vampires need to sleep from time to time in order to function on a daily basis.
Appearance
- Vampires are sexy beasts
- Vampires are vain creatures because they are so ridiculously good looking
- Vampires are not invisible in mirrors, but rather have a faded reflection
- Failure to feed regularly will make them hideously ugly
- hair will turn a yellowish-grey color - teeth will rot and eventually fall out -- including fangs - eyes will turn red (generally this freaks humans out) - skin will wrinkle severely and start to match the color of their hair - they will smell like they're decomposing
- People of every race will avoid such grotesque creatures
- Vampires can -- and often do -- have scars
Feeding
- Vampires can consume human foods/drinks and often do for appearances
- Human blood is highly addictive -- they have an extreme lust for blood
- It is very difficult for a vampire to fast
- Not feeding = immense increase in physical power (almost invincible if they fast long enough)
- Not feeding = immense increase in ugliness + extreme vulnerability to sunlight & fire
- To return to sexy-ness, a vampire would have to drain at least four humans in a 24 hour period
- Such binging = lots of weight gain
Sex/Breeding
- Vampires are naturally seductive
- Vampires naturally have a rather high sex drive
- Female vampires (strangely enough) are more easily impregnated by werewolves; it is not possible for males and females to reproduce "normally"
- Pregnancies have a less than 1% success rate in vampires
- Male vampires can impregnate humans most successfully
- Said baby would be born human; 30% of the time that baby will be born with one of those unique powers
- The changing process (should that child become a vampire later) would be a very smooth transition with minimal pain
- Should they end up being turned into a werewolf, that changing process would be horrendously painful
Changing
- Conversion from mortality to immortality is incredibly painful.
- A human must have their blood almost entirely drained by a vampire and, with what little life they have left in them, they must drink some of the vampire's blood in return.
- The vampire blood will act quickly and course through the veins, destroying what human blood is left and shut down each organ; save for the heart, which beats very slowly and will continue to do so for eternity.
- This is VERY painful.
- Then they "die" after about a day.
- And then they wake up.
- This starts a horrid three day cycle of searing pain everywhere and an uncontrollable urge to kill.
- Newly "born" vampires should be kept in as secluded a place as possible
- It would be good idea to give them a human or two before they can even consider being put into a mildly social situation
Death (for real)
- The sun (usually) cannot kill a vampire.
- Most of the time, a vampire will experience slight discomfort via itching when in direct sunlight.
- Exception to this is if the vampire is starving itself.
- The less you eat, the more the sun hurts.
- Vampires are not at all affected by religious artifacts, holy water or garlic.
- They can go into the churches, though the rarely do. Being stuck on earth for eternity tends to give vampires a rather agnostic outlook.
- The bite of a werewolf is highly deadly.
- There is a cure, but comes from a rare plant that only grows in India.
- As the mixture of bodily fluids between the two races is highly dangerous, it is wise to stay away from one another. (Not that that should stop anyone.)
- Pure silver daggers or daggers covered in the blood or saliva of a werewolf can be fatal.
- The best course of action is to stab 'em through the heart, cut off their head, and burn the remains.
- Given enough time [and power], a vampire could feasibly make a full recovery from a beheading/stabbing through the heart.
