Andorrans are a minority in their own country; over two thirds of the population is made up of Spaniards, Portuguese, Frenchmen, Britons, and Italians. The official and historic language is the Romance language Catalan (almost like a mix between French and Spanish). However, with the amount of immigration and tourism within the country several other language are spoken.

The small country creates a small break in the French-Spanish border and resides in the midst of the Pyrenees mountains. While the permanent population is less than eighty thousand, the annual estimated nine million visiting tourists provides a rather steady supply of food for the vampires that live in Andorra.

Being only one hundred eighty-one square miles, Andorra has been careful to remain a very peaceful country, taking a neutral stance in the world wars. The small country has not known war since the 13th century when it won its independence. Andorra is a principlaity, governed by three people -- all of which are human. The vampire royal family has nothing to do with the way the country is run, which is why the country is able to act as a safe place for werewolves as well as vampires.
